Michael Zorena & Raffaella DeGruttola started as Independent Consultants in 2007 forming Consultantzee, Inc. Mike was Involved in Entertainment Structure and site coordination. He was a Partner in CSS Northeast from 1994 to 2004 and was responsible for Business Development, R&D, marketing, sales, structural design, engineering, and logistics, as well as overseeing operations including staff training and certification. CSS grew to the 5th largest Staging company in the US during this period. Prior to CSS, Mike was President of Z Staging from 1990 to 1994 and oversaw field installs of structures.
Raffaella started in the entertainment business in College and then proceeded to work as a Box Office Treasurer for Boston Ballet from 1994 to 1996. Raffaella joined the IATSE union in 1996 opening the newly renovated Shubert Theatre for “Rent” and then proceeded to work at The Wang Theatre from 1997-1999. After returning from working for the Olympics in Australia in 2000. Raffaella then moved to ticketing positions at the Wilbur Theatre, the Colonial Theatre and the Boston Opera House while continuing to grow Consultantzee, Inc.
Raffaella and Mike continue to grow Consultantzee, Inc. with impressive projects such as Big Air for USSA at Fenway Park and Big Air for Air & Style in LA, Burton US air in Vail, CO, Illuminata endangered species project at the Vatican and handling his annual staging structures for college commencements such as Brown University, Boston University and Northeastern University.
